Dylan Helfand

Senior Associate

Dylan is a Senior Associate at Goodkind & Florio, P.A., where he focuses on commercial and business litigation and real estate-related disputes.

He represents developers, businesses, property owners, family offices, associations, municipalities and individuals in matters involving contract and business disputes, leasing issues, development approvals, zoning and permitting disputes, and other complex real estate and business issues. Dylan also has experience handling appeals before Florida’s District Courts of Appeal and the appellate divisions of the Circuit Courts. Prior to relocating to Florida, he handled appeals before New York’s Appellate Division. His combined trial and appellate experience form a strategic, results-oriented approach to litigation, allowing him to evaluate cases from the outset with the client’s long-term business objectives and desired outcomes in mind.

Before joining Goodkind & Florio, Dylan practiced at a Miami-based land use and litigation boutique, the Miami office of a national law firm, and a litigation boutique in New York, gaining experience across a broad range of commercial, land use, and appellate matters. Dylan earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he was a member of Moot Court and served as Symposium Editor of the Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. He received his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He is admitted to practice in Florida and New York, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

A Miami native, Dylan spends his free time cooking for family and friends and following the Florida Gators.
